About IPVIEW
Precise, practical network tools, made in Iran.
IPVIEW is an Iranian service for seeing and understanding network information. It exists to give a fast, exact answer to the question "what is my IP": one that arrives in under a second, with no advertising and no sign-up.
Visitors inside Iran are answered by a server inside the country, so for them it is fast; visitors elsewhere are answered by a server outside Iran. Every measurement says which of the two it was taken from.
What it offers
- My IP: your public address with its provider, network number (ASN), reverse name and approximate location.
- IP and domain lookup: any IPv4 or IPv6 address, or any domain name; a domain is resolved first and its record follows.
- Date and time: the exact time in Iran, the Jalali calendar and the prayer times for Tehran.
- Time server (NTP): for setting the clock on MikroTik routers, servers and network equipment from inside Iran.
- Free API: no key, no sign-up, open
CORS, made for scripts and monitoring.
Privacy
Visitors' IP addresses are stored in no database. An address is used to answer the request it arrived with, kept briefly in memory for rate limiting, and then dropped. Access logging on the web server is off. Toolkit results are kept for 30 days so that their share links work; checks that run against your own address, such as the check of your own ports, are never saved. The one exception is the "check one port" tool: because it connects from this server to another destination, it writes the requester's address and the destination to the server log so that abuse can be followed up.
This site uses no tracking scripts and no advertising. Its one cookie remembers the language: choosing English with the language switch sets __Host-lang for a year so the site opens in English next time, and switching back to Persian removes it. It holds nothing but the language. There are no other cookies, and its fonts are served from this site's own server rather than a third-party CDN. IP locations are read from local databases. For addresses those databases are incomplete about, most Iranian addresses among them, the address is also sent to ip-api.com to detect proxies and data centres.
Accuracy
Location data comes from the network registration databases, not from a device's GPS. It is generally accurate to the city and sometimes only to the country. For mobile carriers it often shows the provincial capital or Tehran, because that is where the address is registered. This is a limit of IP-based geolocation itself, not of this service.
Contact
The service is part of the XPAY.co platform and is entirely free to use. To report a fault, make a suggestion or ask for a higher API limit, get in touch through that platform.
